CLAT Information

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance examination conducted by 24 National Law Universities (NLUs) for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs. It evaluates candidates' aptitude for legal education through comprehension and reasoning.

Exam Pattern

Total Marks: 120
Number of Questions: 120
Total Time: 2 Hours

The UG-CLAT is a 2-hour test with 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) carrying 1 mark each. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. The questions are divided into the following sections:

  • Current Affairs, including General Knowledge
  • Legal Reasoning
  • Logical Reasoning
