From 2008 the top law schools in India started conducting the common entrance exam referred to as "Common Law Admission Test" or "CLAT" exam. Nearly 11000 candidates appeared in 2008 and around 14600+ students appeared for this exam in 2009 and about 1100 seats (including reserved category) were at stake.
